How the Sky Link Module Works
The communications module installed in the vehicle is equipped with both Global Positioning System (GPS) and Cellular
technology which allows Sky Link’s servers to determine the exact location anywhere in the U.S. so long as a cellular signal
is available and the module is operating properly.
The GPS satellite sends
positioning information
to the Sky Link device.
The Sky Link device sends
a signal to the nearest cell tower.
The cell tower relays the signal to a cell operating center.
Here you can see the coast-to-coast coverage offered by Sky Link.
The operating center sends the raw
signal data to our Sky Link servers.
In case of theft, the data is sent to a law
enforcement web page so they can
track the vehicle live and in real time.
